How on earth do you know what officiant to book?! I have just started looking around, does anybody have any suggestions as to people they are using/have used?
I'm Catholic, and so is my fiance. However, he doesn't exactly practice or believe in the religion so we are not even getting married in a church, just on the golf course!

We used Rev. Mark Pietscher for our golf course wedding in September.  He is a real reverand but he will customize your ceremony to however religious or non religious you want it.  He is very nice and everyone loved our ceremony.  He is reasonably priced as well.  He is located in Grayslake so I'm not sure how close that is to you.  He met us halfway where we live for our meetings.  His email is mwpitch@gmail.com

We are using the Rev for Whatev. I would totally recommend her! We stumbled across some great reviews of her and got in touch. She turned out to be everything the reviews said and more. She is such a wonderful person, and she can do anything from completely customizing every word of your ceremony with you to just working off of the prepared ceremonies she has. Definitely go meet Rev. Jim Rehnberg.  His website is rentarev.com.  He was superb!  Everyone raved about how personal yet light-hearted he was at our ceremony.  We had only met him two or three times before our wedding, and people were asking me if he was one of our childhood reverends.  He made our ceremony something we won't ever forget!

I am using Rev. Tom Perrucci. We met with another guy who was NOT very engaging, and when we met with Rev. Tom we just knew! He gives great ideas for the ceremony and compared with others he is pretty reasonably priced. Good luck!

I second Rev. Tom!  He was easy to work with and well within our budget!  He has some great ideas and has plenty of ideas/ways to develop and customize your ceremony.  Good luck!

Thank you, ladies! Rev. Tom is actually more expensive than a lot that we've looked into. However, there's no price for a good fit on such an important day. I will look into both the above suggestions. Thanks so much!
