for those who did (are having) non-denominational ceremony...

Did you do pre-marital counseling? If so, where and how long was it?

Nah, we didn't.....we just had many of hearts to hearts.  We didn't need it.
It's time. Adoption saving and process started in November 2012.

We went.  The church where we're getting married (St. Pauls Church of Christ) offered it and it was strictly optional.  It wasn't really counseling per se, they offered monthly classes that addressed the major topics that couples fight/argue over... like handling finances, raising children, in-laws, etc.  I think there were 5 classes total but we had to miss one due to a schedule conflict.  I'm actually really glad that we went (and it gave us some opportunites to get to know our pastor a little better, too).

We did.  We used a program called Gate 14 through Second Story Counseling.  It was non-denominational and well-worth the money.  While we are both very open and on the same page on just about every "marriage" topic, it was GREAT to have an objective, uninvolved person to guide us through some talks and help us be even better communicators.  Considering how much we spent on the wedding itself, it was well worth the investment.

You can also go to couples counseling places for pre-marrital counseling. We are definitely going to do it, because we want to make sure we've discussed everything. Doing it just the two of you is important, but there are things you might forget or not know to discuss. And the counselors can give you advice to how to live with someone with a different personality.

We did not do counseling as we have been married before and know all the pitfalls.
I highly suggest you get it. It will help in so many ways. Good luck Love is Bald!!!!

We are "renting a rev" basically. He does offer one free session if you want to sit and chat, but we've had many heart to hearts on our own and feel pretty confident.
