Hoosier Grove Barn?

Hi Ladies!

Has anyone had any experience with the Hoosier Grove Barn in Streamwood?  I already have a venue, but I've been having second thoughts on it.  If anyone has either looked into this venue or attended a wedding there, let me know whow your experience was!!  I want to know if it's worth changing venues over.

    One of my best friends is getting married there in October. I wish they were having it sooner so I could give you my experience. But they are really happy with the place so far in their planning. They love that alcohol is included in the venue cost, but they do have to bring in their own caterer.

    I am attending a wedding there on July 21.  Their family is catering the food, and the venue seems a lot more inexpensive than any other venue in the suburbs.

    If you already booked it and put down a deposit, don't change it.  You'll most likely lose money and then you will second guess yourself when you do book a new one.  If you go with a relatively inexpensive caterer, you will save money.

    Thanks guys!  And thankfully our deposit was reeeeeally small on the first venue, so we'd only be out  $200.  But I am not gonna make any decisions until I see the barn this weekend and lay all out all the pros and cons.  I'd love to hear how the wedding turns out after you see it all set up!

    I looked at it because it is by our house but we didn't like it it really looks like a barn and that's not what we wanted, we also didn't think it was spacious enough for us, so I guess its all up to what you guys want, the people there were really nice and showed us around and explained their packages they have a good price.

    Update!  I went to a wedding there this weekend July 21.  I wouldn't recommend this place if you are having more than 100-120 guests.  There were 130 and it was PACKED!  They had to move 3 tables from the "dance floor."

    Also, drivers were honking like crazy during the ceremony.  Also there were a few police cars and sirens.
