Reception Sites

My fiance and I are from the Elgin area and are trying to have a DIY and inexpensive wedding. We are having a hard time finding a reception venue that fits our budget. If anyone has ANY ideas we would greatly appreciate it!

Where have you checked out so far? Any restaurants or banquet halls?

We have looked at The Seville, Lincoln Inn, Hickory Sticke, Villa Olivia, Heritage Ballroom and Randall Oaks.

What exactly is your budget? Because eerything that I looked at in the city of expensive. From hotels to banquet halls. I am paying about 8k for just the venue.

we had ours at The Cotillion in Palatine, not quite Elgin but nearby...I loved our reception and the people at The Cotillion went above and beyond to make us happy

Check out the Bridges of Poplar Creek in Hoffman Estates, St. Andrews in West Chicaog or Chandlers in Schaumburd. Poplar Creek has very resonable prices!!
