 I am planning for a September 2011 wedding. I want soo badly to have it on the beach at the Lake. Who do I call or what steps do I take to get this reserved??

I would start googling chicago beaches for contact info. I think there is a website, but I am not sure what it is. Good luck!

Aren't the beaches run by the park district? We were originally planning a spring wedding and wanted to use the rose garden near buckingham fountain and there was a special process to get a park district permit. You may want to check that out.

check this out. I had the page saved in my favs still and it lists the 63rd st beach house as being a venue

Hi there,
Just a quick tip. If you plan to marry outside make sure you have a solid plan B in case of rain and a way to contact all the guests for alternate plans. It is vital.

Kinda late to the game on this one but if it is a park district beach I know with some park district venues you have to wait until a date in January and then stand in line to register for your date. They don't allow people to just go and put down a deposit for their date at any time. But I know it depends if it's City of Chicago park district or Cook County or non park district.

I don't know if you want the city or not, but my friend had a wonderful experience with the Glencoe Park District.
