Speaking of changing name...

Ladies,
I am really confused about my name changing and need some help!!
I probably have no reason to be confused.

We were married last week in Cook County.  And I could have sworn Pastor said he would mail in Marriage Certificate.  The Cook County office told me I go back in three weeks to pick up the certificate... But the Pastor gave me Marriage Certificate.  So is that normal?  Pastor gives you one and mails in one?

Whatever advice you have would be greatly appreciated.  I want to get my Passport right away because DH and I are taking our real honeymoon in June.

TIA!!!

Danielle

You may want to hold off changing your name if you need to apply for a passport. We applied for our passports last Saturday and they said it would take 4-6 weeks for us to get them. I don't know exactly how long it takes to change your name, but there is a fee for an expedited passport application. It's just something to think about and consider.
