Bachelorette party attire?

I have a bachelorette party downtown on Sat and I just realized that I don't know what the norm is to wear? Is it too much to wear like a maxi dress and a cardigan? Or should I go with jeans and a cute top? What have you knotties seen/prefer?

all really depends on where you are going! can't really go wrong with nice jeans and heels but if its some place a little nicer, a dress might be common.

Depends on where you are going! I wore a dress last weekend to mine, but some of my friends just wore jeans, leggings, etc. We went to a bar in Wicker Park.

I wore a dress, but my party was labor day wknd so it was a little warmer...and I'm just a "dress" kind of girl.  I definitely prefer over jeans.

Wear something that you'll feel like yourself in, be comfy, and that matches your plans of the type of things/place you're doing/going

Ok, so it pretty much seems like either way would be fine. Cool. We are meeting at the hotel and then goin to dinner downtown but I don't know where and then possibly a bar but not sure which one for that either. It's the first one of my friends to get married, so it's new to us. Although, now that I'm recently engaged, I need to take good notes, lol! Thanks for the feedback!

Personally I used bachelorette parties to get more dolled up than I normally do. It's when I break out the sequins and f*ck me heels.
