Facials/ Peels? Anyone had these?

Hi there-
I am in the Plainfield/Joliet area and wondered if anyone knows of a good spa/salon that does facials/peels.

I am researching the difference between the both of them and am interested in learning more and getting one or both.  But, I have no idea on where to go.  I have a good skin care regimen at home, but want to brighten my skin up more.

I hate to say that I am having issues with my age.  My FI is 7 years younger than me and I want to look at fresh and young as possible for my big day.  No one believes I will be 40 this month, but, for some reason, I am feeling old.  So, I thought a facial and/or peel might help brighten my complexion a bit.

I have no idea where to go or where to start to look.  I do not want to base my decision on price and end up getting something horrible done to my skin. I am getting married in 62 days and thought now would be the time to try something out.

Any suggestions?

I go to a medical spa in Lakeview, but have nothing but great things to say about them.

Have you ever thought about doing a laser instead of a facial?  I'm doing Laser Genesis a couple times before my wedding, and was weary at first, but it doesn't cost much more than a facial, and the results are amazing.

I go to Thive Medspa....they have doctors on staff, and really know what they are doing.

I'm also a HUGE facial lover, so I'm not just trying to push you in one direction :-)

I have been thinking about doing a laser too, but am a bit hesitant.  I have never done anything like a facial or more before and wanted suggestions.  Thanks.

If price isn't a concern, you have to go to Nordstrom Spa.  I try to get a facial about once a month and have tried many different places.  Nordstrom, by far, is the best.  They have many options for anti-againg or brightening services.  They are pricey, but well worth it.  Hope this helps!

I work with amway and we have a great partnership with Artistry skin care and cosmetics. If you want to try an at home peel, we just came out with an awesome peel that gives results within 6 weeks. You use it once a week and it does the same as being done at a salon. Its 100 dollars for the 6 weeks supply. Also we have the Lux cream. If you are looking for the fountain of youth, look no more, This cream replaces everything you are currently using and becomes a day and night cream, wrinkle remover all in one. It helps your skin feel and act 15 years younger. All of our products are "Miss America" approved and are their favorites. The lux cream is pricy but for the results you get its definitely worth it. Also you have a 6 month money back guarantee, so for whatever reason, used or not you can return it. Here is the website so that you can check it out if interested.
