Hey!  Is $500-$600 the going rate for officiants?  Or is there anywhere I can find a cheaper one? (our ceremony is only going to be like 20 minutes long, so I dont want to spend too much on one). Thanks!

    From my research I would say yes. I met with one and his rate for the basic 30 minute ceremony, no rehersal was $450. An extra hour for rehersal was $150. The all in package (included rehersal, 2 hour planning session and a script of what he would say) was $850. I also know others can go up to $800. You might be able to find someone cheaper, I didn't continue with my research because we found a church we liked who provided a pastor. Hopefully someone else on TK will know! Good luck!

    I am using Rev. Bob from Hearts and Hands Weddings.  I adore him and so far things have been great.  He is slightly cheaper than most and for us, we didn't have to pay as much because we are foregoing the rehearsal.

    The officiant we are using is way cheaper than that. Even the other officiants we talked to were cheaper than that. The ones we looked at all had great reviews and so far the one we picked has been great! Just do some research online you can find cheaper ones.

    Im lucky, a good friend of mine is an ordained minister. 
    he is going to be the one to marry us. 
    all we are paying for is his hotel and food.
