Need a nice affordable venue.

Hi everyone Im getting married june 2011 and I would love to have my wedding a beautiful venue, but everything I like is too pricy for my fiance and I. We can not afford to pay no more than 4000$ for venue and food. we live in Brookfield.  PLEASE HELP!

How many guests are you expecting? City or Suburbs?
Reza's restaurant on Ontario in the city is affordable.  A co-worker went to a wedding at Kendall College on Halsted; she said the food was awesome and it was also affordable.

The Chicago Park District's website has some great listings for event venues.
Check that out! Also, many gardens also cater and if you use their caterers they usually knock off the venue fee. Good luck!

Warning about the Park District: They have (very pricy) preferred vendors you have to use so their relative affordability disappears rather quickly!

We are having our reception at Francesca's. It's an Italian restaurant and they have locations all over the suburbs. They have several dinner packages, the one we chose being only $32 per person for a five course family style meal that includes dessert! It does not include the bar and there was a minimum for the room, but it was not an additional cost. They are beautiful venues so I am spending very little on centerpieces and there is no need for chair covers or any of that extra nonsense. And, like I said, they included dessert so I just saved hundreds on a cake. I would check them out; I talked to several different locations and they were all very helpful and willing to work with me.  Good luck!
