Stonegate Banquet Hall?

HI! I am a destination bride, but we want to have a reception here in Aug. 2012, and we are starting to look at venues. It can be in the city or the burbs. We are from Palatine, so either works. We need something reasonably priced (under $100 a head would be great) and most importantly to me MODERN. I would really like to stay away from any thing gaudy and European inspired. I came across the Stonegate and it looks like it might be a good fit. Anyone been to an event there or work with them? Any idea about rates? We sent an email, but I am waiting to hear back. Other suggestions for contemporary places aretotally welcome.

    Hi - we went and looked at Stonegate when we did our venue search. Due to the estimated size of our wedding (150 peopleish) we would of had to use the tent space instead of a ballroom. It is heated/airconditioned and if you like the tented look it is pretty, but seemed a little small to me for 150 people. The prices were reasonable but we ended up chosing the Belvedere in Elk Grove Village. There was more decor and space comparatively. The lady we met with at Stonegate was vey nice and helpful.     Hi I'm getting married at the Stonegate and I live in Palatine! It is at least $70 a head for meals. That includes your wedding cake!

    I too am getting married in the tent...Looove it!

    We chose the Arboretum club in Buffalo Grove, but also looked at the Stonegate.  You are right, it is nice and modern.  What size are you looking at?  We were looking at the tent for March, and it wasn't well sealed enough for cold weather, but should be fine in August.

    If you are looking for something really modern, have you considered Pinstripes in South Barrington??  I am guessing you have already considered The Cotillion right in Palatine.  The Concorde in Kildeer in nice.  The Onion Pub Brewery in Barrington is really nice as well.

    We had our wedding at the Stonegate this december 11-it was TRULY AMAZING. The stone gate didn not let us down one bit. Janet was our sales manager and she is truly specail in so many ways-helped me evey step of the way-the food was a mazing-the service was outstanding and all my guets are STILL talking about it.I had it in the pavillion and it was truly unique. TRUST me the stone gate will NOT let you down.

    We had about 160 guests and the pavillion was PERFECT. it was not too small-not too big-but just right and comfortable.
