and now...last minute VENT!

How do you forget you're an usher in a wedding?!

I feel like I've been totally calm when I've been thrown curveballs lately. Oh, the videographer hasn't called me back in 5 months, it's ok! My future MIL didn't think it was necessary to call people who hadn't RSVP'd to the rehearsal dinner and told me TODAY when the count was due, no problem! But really, how do you forget that you're in a wedding?!
FI just called me at work to let me know about 2 remaining people who hadn't responded to the rehearsal dinner invite and said that his 2 friends told him that they didn't remember they were ushers so they didn't respond to the rehearsal dinner invite because they didn't know why they were invited.
Really? REALLY?! I was there when FI asked one of the ushers over dinner with him and his FI (now his wife) and he said he would be honored. FI was also in his wedding 2 months ago. The other guy never has his head screwed on straight so he's more to be expected.
ok, vent over. Thanks! Smile

Edit: they have also received a few different emails and phone calls with wedding information in them, what did they think they were for?

    hmm... I wonder if Jeff is overworked?  I'd be lying to if I said I wasn't debating switching to another videographer because of the bad communication press as of late...

    hang in there girl!  ::Hugs::

     Uhh I am puzzled as to how someone would not know they are in the wedding.  I assume your ushers did not get fitted for tuxes? But with the way some guys are when it comes to weddings, I'm not surprised *shurg*

    When things are getting stressful, I just tell myself, "this too shall pass."

    Oh ladybug, I'm so sorry you are stressing...

    The last week before the wedding can be crazy and at some point you have to let it go. I had some really stressful moments that last week. When I got really stressed with last minute problems, my finace jumped in and solved it, that's what men like to do: solve problems.

    Ask you fiance or parents to help you out. Do you have a DOC? If so have her contact everyone from here on out. If not enlist HELP. You need it in the last days before the wedding.

    Don't worry about Jeff, he will show up. If the ushers didn't get fitted have them go get fitted asap, but have your fiance handle that. They can go in at the 11th hour. Tuxes aren't ordered early. My fiance's tux didn't fit on the Thurs before the wedding and he picked up a new one Friday morning. PITA? yes. But he did end up with a gorgeous tux.

    Try to breathe and let it go.... remember to enjoy your day!!

    There are some pics of me before the wedding with some really bridezilla looks on my face. I was surprised to see these. But I was still stressing a bit. They weren't pretty.

    Breathe... don't worry... I know it's easy for me to say but really everything will  work out.
