Minneapolis to Chicago

Hey ladies, looking for some help/suggestions...
My sister/MOH is planning a Bach party for us girls in Chicago over St. Patty's weekend.  I have never partied in Chicago and neither has she, sooo we are looking for suggestions on where to stay and the best bars to hit up at night (I'm 31 and am looking to avoid the 21ish, younger bars, but still have a blast, if that makes sense) and restaurants/shopping during the day.
Thanks for any help you can offer!
Angie

Where to stay all depends on how much you want to spend. I'm sure you probably already know this but Chicago is really crazy on St. Patty's weekend so definitly book the hotel early. Depending on how many girls you have coming you could also look into sites like www.homeaway.com or www.vrbo.com which are condos and houses that you can rent and they're usually more reasonable and can fit more people.
Generally, everyone acts like they're 21 on St. Patty's in Chicago so most bars you go to are going to be crazy. Last year I went to Clark/Division area to Mother's, Finn McCool's and other bars. Clark and Division is pretty nice just because there's a ton of bars in a concentrated area, but like I said pretty much everywhere you go people are pretty sloppy.
    HTH!
I would just focus on booking a place to stay and you can always check out recommended bars on Metromix the upcoming weeks before.
Oh and watching the river be dyed green is always fun!

I would go to a nice dinner and then to a champagne/lounge bar. Quartino's is great--italian tapas and Pops is right around the corner. Or Wildfire for dinner.
Stay away from Wrigleyville that week...try to stay more around Rush/Division or Michigan Ave for your night. It will be less crazy there.
There's the Signature Room in the Hancock for drinks too!

There are so many areas, from comedy clubs, male revue/female impersonators, action oriented---such as Dave and Busters or Pinstripes.....ultimate chocolate experiences at The Peninsula in "The Lobby"----all chocolate buffet bar----FANTASTIC!!!  Cooking classes....perhaps narrow your ideas down first and then do some research!
