Aww thank you!! Believe it or not, it was FI's suggestion that we get them AND wear them every day while we were there... he actually originally intended to propose at Disney World, but it didn't happen. I wish my story was more exciting, but I guess it's fitting for the two of us...

After buying the ring, he realized that, unless he had it sized, it would be way too big for me to wear on the rides and around the park (he asked me to go get my promise ring sized... good thing he didn't have my E-ring sized for me... the girl who did the sizing on my promise ring was a 1/2 size off). After some discussion with his parents, I guess he decided not to wait. He knew that I would be bummed out if he proposed and I couldn't wear the ring, but he didn't want to risk getting it sized and having it not fit.

So on a random Thursday, he told me that he wasn't feeling well and took a half-day at work to plan. I had to work until 9 PM, so he was able to get away with it without me realizing it... we texted back and forth all night while I was at work. I mentioned a craving for some nachos at a local restaurant, so he told me to call to see what the kitchen hours were. I got really excited, thinking he was going to surprise me with dinner after work, but had second thoughts when the restaurant wasn't mentioned again that night (and tbh, I was kind of ticked at him LOL).

As I was leaving work, I was pretty much under the impression that he was relaxing at home watching television, and I was bummed that he got me all excited about going for nachos and then didn't follow through. But no, I walked outside to my car and there was a single longstem red rose underneath the windshield wiperand his car waiting nearby. Walked over to him, and  he got out of the car with the rest of the bouquet... he walked me to my car and laid the roses on the hood and took my hand. Then with just the two of us outside of my work, he got down on one knee and reached into his pocket. Classic me-moment, the first words out of my mouth were "Shut up!" But he was serious, and pulled out the ring box and asked me to marry him :)

It's pretty romantic for him, and the fact that he was all dressed nicely and not wearing a hat (!!!) was pretty huge... so I knew something was up when he got out of the car. Just didn't think it was THAT. Not quite as romantic as a Disney-Cinderella's-Castle proposal, but also not as cliche... it was fitting for us as a couple, though.
