Ladies with < 6 months left - What are you up to?!

I am 2 months out and finishing up all my DIY.....labels for favors, cutting corks for place card holders, designing my programs (I need to buy supplies too!), and getting all my info to my coordinator!!

It is SO much on top of work.  I don't know how all of you ladies that did more DIY do it!

I has my first fitting this past Saturday, dropped invites in the mail yesterday, got FI's wedding gift in the mail today (whew!).

Check, check, check!!!

How is everyone else doing?!

ETA: good job on all your checks :)

Oh crap - this title applies to me now. . .

I've got a lot of stuff to do. In fact there are a lot of details I really haven't started thinking about yet. ETA: after writing this list I'm having a mini panic attack. lol

I still need to (at a minimum):
    book a florist
    get tuxes for the guys
buy wedding rings for FI and me
get my address book in order
    buy invitations and other stationary
    get e-photos taken
    schedule my gown alterations
    buy jewelry, shoes, veil
    buy plane tickets for honeymoon
book a hotel room for wedding night
find/hire an officiant and/or ask FI's uncle to do it (he's asking this weekend)
decide on decor details and purchase the things we need
    write ceremony and vows
    pick special dances
make play list (we're doing the ipod route)
    schedule hair and makeup
    book transportation
    register for gifts

    holy crap.

oh you know, nothing ;)  currently, I'm trying to not let my mom drive me nutso. She called me to ask if it was okay to use half hershey kisses and half colored M&M's in our OOT bags since she didn't have enough m&m's.  Other than that (feel free to ignore my week and a half to go ramblings!)
-FI and I have to go get our marriage license tmrw (nothing like last minute)
-I have to make table numbers (again I'm a procrastinator)
-have to make my day-of hoodie (maybe I'll do that tonight!)
    -write note for OOT bags
-chat w/our second photog (we have one coming only for cocktail hour to capture a special surprise for our guests since our main photog will be w/the bridal party)
    -need to pack for HM
-need to go buy cat food for cat sitter
-take my ering to get cleaned
    -waxing appt
-drop off all reception stuff at our venue
-FI and I need to decide on an intro song
-put together a day-off emergency kit
and a million other things I'm probably forgetting!

I'm working on trying to finish my DIY projects and organize my RSVPs mostly!
    to do still:
    programs (print and assemble)
    RD invites
OOT bag assembly (and purchase some more goodies)
    get FIs ring
finish out BP gifts (FI has no idea what to get his boys)
confirm all GMs have gotten fitted
    do seating chart
    finish chalkboard signs
    get popcorn for buffet
    fill "to-go" bags of popcorn
get waxed (heheh Aimers thanks for reminding me!)
    get marriage license

and prolly a million other things!

Right now, I am working on assembling my invites. I really wish I had not DIYed them. We didn't save that much money and its a lot of work.

I'm under 3 months away now.  We just finished the invites and are getting RSVP's in the  mail.  I designed the invites myself in Photoshop, had to use my graphic design teaching skills somehow, right?

Now I'm trying to find a salon for hair and makeup.  Also working on making my bridal parties jewelry.  Then its on to my many DIY projects- ceremony program, table numbers, guest book, paper cones, pew bows.  I also need to order my flowers from fiftyflowers.com which I'll be assembling for the reception.  Wow... I have a ton left to do!  Thank goodness summer break will be here in just over a month!

Penelope - do you have a photo of your corks? I'd love to see how this turns out. Thanks!

As for my to do list remaining: my wedding band, programs this weekend, rehearsal dinner still, find a makeup person... but we're getting there. I have my first dress fitting on Saturday!

I have a little less than 4 months to go.  I am waiting for my invites to arrive in the next couple weeks.  I am DIYing the envelopes, wrap around labels, so I need to get those done BEFORE the invites get here (that is my goal anyways).  I have my second dress fitting on Saturday.  My gown came in a couple months ago and it was huge on me so I get to go try it on again and hopefully this time it stays up!
    Lets see what else...
My only bridal shower is this month so I need to find something to wear.
I need to pick my jewelry for the wedding day.
FI needs to pick his formal wear for the wedding day and for his GM.
I need to start deciding on ceremony music.. musicians were hired.. just need to pick some songs.
My coordinator and I are visiting the venue this month so she can see it.
And there are probably a million other things I need to do but these are the things at the top of my list!

I'm just a couple days under 4 months:

    - I need to get off my arse and get invites ordered. They've been the bain of my existence.

    - Need to get my longline bra so I can get my dress over to the seamstress.

    - I need to start eating better. I've been eating for $hit and I think the way my dress fits will show that. Ugh!

    - Need to meet with the priest to go over the order of the ceremony & choose readings and music.

    - Check on my room block & add a reservation for me (oops)

    - Figure out what & how much food to bring on the limo bus for the bridal party between the ceremony & reception.

    - Figure out where we're taking pics between the ceremony & reception.

And a zillion things that aren't coming to mind right now.

@Penelope I've been going through some major growing pains with my friends. I'm 25 and very much in my grown up stage of life and they are still living at home and partying like there's no tomorrow. Long story short, things turned into an enormous blow out last weekend and after spending the night evaluating our lives and friendships...we wondered why we were busting our butts to entertain people we don't really care about. Sounds bad, but it's true.

So Monday we cancelled with the Trump. Even giving some money up has been worth it. We have bumped things up to July. We're spending a week in Costa Rica and we are just taking our parents and 3 friends who have stood by us through everything.

I'll still pop in here for help with shops and my out of town bags (wanna bring a little Chicago with us!) and photos and things though. I like this board :-)

@Miracle,  I completely undestand!  I broke up with several high school friends for the same reason....they just weren't at the same place as me!

I hope everything works out the way you want with your beautiful, stress-free DW!!

    Enjoy Costa Rica!

-Shoes??  I am not sure if I'm going to keep the ones I have, they aren't all that comfy.
    -Hair and makeup trial

Well, I found a NEW venue which is drop dead gorgeous. Otherwise I'm pretty much everything is set for my October 1st wedding.

I need minimal decorations. Bridesmaids flowers, my flowers, ect. Need to rent linens and uplighting. Meet with my caterer. All my invitations are basically done.

We will buy all the booze right before, as with the treats from the bakery.

    Just little things!
