Chicago caterers

We are currently narrowing down our caterers-currently in the running are Pear Tree, Limelight and Jewell.  We are looking for a formal plated meal and someone who is great to work with-who can really take over on the wedding day. Would love your thoughts!

    AVOID Jewell Caterers.  I used them for my wedding in April and although the food was good, the execution and service SUCKED.  The "Captain" they assigned to us barely spoke English, which was uber frustrating.  And the bartender was a complete jerk towards the end of the night.  Pear Tree and Limelight usually do a great job from what I hear.

    Besides planning my daughter's wedding I am a corporate event planner here in Chicago and honestly I don't use any you mentioned. Most of my events are with Blue Plate or Steffani's.
