Anyone use George Street Photography?

If so, how were they?

We are using George Street for our wedding at the end of the month.  I asked a lot of questions to the person we met with (I think her name was Dione at the Schaumburg office) and I've asked a lot of questions to our coordinator, Ashley during the process.  They have been nothing but helpful and didn't make me feel like I asked too many questions.

We didn't use them for engagement pictures since my sister offered to take our engagement pictures for us.

George Street is one of the big, high volume studios.  Actually, a friend of ours works for them on weekends, shooting weddings.  Personally, I steered away from the big companies.  You never really know what you're getting.  It's hard to review a company when they employ hundreds of photographers.  I'm sure not all bad and not all good.  It's a risk.  Maybe if you know the first and last name of the photographer that is assigned to you, you'd get better reviews from brides who have used that particular person?  I'd strongly recommend an independent photographer.  Meet the person who will be shooting your wedding, see their work, get a feel for their personality, work one on one with them throughout the whole process.  Just my preference.  Big, chain studios is like shopping for a talented artist at Walmart.
