Hello all! I'm so sad that my wedding is over. After hours and hours of work I put into it....it was all well worth it!!! It's true when brides and grooms say that it all happens so fast because it does! I'll try and make my reviews short and sweet with enough information for future brides out there.
Here Comes the Bride:
Purchased my wedding dress and it was easiest purchase out of the whole wedding!! Rose was beyond helpful and I walked out with the dress of my dreams! Don't worry about the reviews of what the place looks like because that should not make a difference on experience and customer service!
House of Brides:
Had no choice but to purchase my bridesmaids dresses here since they are the largest store that carries the largest selection of dresses. 2 of my bridesmaids dresses didn't fit (too small) which was the makers fault but it seem like it was my bridesmaid fault, when in actuallity it was the maker of the dresses. The customer service here was terrible and I hated every minute of my experience there.
Mens Warehouse:
My husband dealt with them the most but he never complained about the experience there so I'm going to say that the customer service there was good. I did walk in there with him during his fitting and selection of the tuxes and they were all in all pretty attentive.
Flowers:
I had a friend of mine do my flowers since she's a horticulturist. She did the best job that any "professional" florist could have done, maybe even better. She did get the flowers and Kennicott's in Elk Grove and they were wonderful and easy to deal with. I went with her to pick out the flowers and vases for my centerpieces.
Photographer:
We went to Jolie Images and they were very professional and easy to work with. My photographer Boris was hilarious and had excellent ideas on photos and poses with my husband and I along with the bridal party. We went to the waterfall at Milwaukee and Touhy and took pictures there and it was such a beautiful background and location from my reception hall.
Venue:
Mine was held at the Victoria Beau Jolie and it was sooo beautiful. The way they decorated the ballroom with such taste is unbelieveble. Tracey at the Beau Jolie was more than a joy to work with and made everything so easy. The food was phenomenal and the service was beyond my expectations!
DJ:
I used Aris Enterprises and they were great. They went along with my plan of the night and played the music that we wanted to hear. Luckily, he's our family dj that does our New Year's Parties every year but still did a wonderful job and everybody loved the music. No one sat down for more than 10 minutes, the dancefloor was always packed which is what we wanted!
Transportation:
Instead of using the same ol' limo, I went with The Flying Lady Trolley! It was so much roomier than a limo or hummer or even party bus. It was beautiful for pictures and the driver was awesome!! My biggest fear was being late and not getting where we needed to get on time. He had awesome music playing and the trolley was the best fun I've ever had being in a ton of weddings.
Hotel:
I had the option of The Hyatt or the Holiday Inn Express and chose the Holiday Inn Express. Being it only a night of sleep, I didn't want my guests to spend too much money on a night of sleep. Scott was very helpful and accomodated all our needs. He even provided shuttle from the hotel to the venue and the venue to the hotel after the reception!
Well ladies, I give you the reviews and I hope you take them into stride and when I started, yours helped me out as well. Good luck to all you brides out there and have fun because even though it was my wedding, I had the best time with my husband, friends and families.
