New here and I need venue help!!!!

The FI and I are trying to decide between 2 venues and would really love opinions on both!    They are The Stonegate in Hoffman Estates and The Schaumburg Marriott.

Have anyone gotten married or been to a wedding at either?? I would really love your opinions!

have you toured at both of these places? My fiance and I just went to both of them last saturday, and both seemed really nice, but the carpeting at the marriott was just too loud for us to see past. it was a bright red/gold, and it would totally clash with our colors (blue/green). however, i think the marriott's prices were a bit cheaper than stonegate.

I've heard that the Stonegate is really great, food, service, decor, etc. HTH

Hi!  I have not been to either venue, but I just wanted to mention that there's a thread that's almost at the bottom of the first page that has Stonegate in the title (I am awful at remembering post/thread titles).  There's a few reviews on it in that thread.  Just thought I'd mention in case you hadn't seen it.  Good luck!

@KellyCatalo--- Yes, we toured both places. Agreed on the carpet at the Marriott! Yikes! But we love that they only host one wedding a night, unlike at the Stonegate.

My wedding will be at The Stonegate this Saturday, will post reviews afterwards. Thus far no issues with Stonegate staff, the tasting was unbelievable and I am really looking forward to the big day. Good luck to you ladies!

The W City Center is really nice! Also, there if you are new in the area, you might be interested in attending this bridal show there on October 3 from 4-8. You can check out the venue, as well as meet other vendors in the wedding industry in Chicago. Let me know if you want to attend, so I can give you this code they sent me for 2 free tickets

I had a friend that just went to a wedding at Stonegate a couple weeks ago and she said it was really nice and the food was pretty good
