New to the City & Engaged

Hi All, So i just moved to Chicago from Philadelphia last month. Oh, and just got engaged! But now I'm in a new city with no buddy to do fun bridal stuff with...I dare not ask my fiancé to go to a bridal show. Anyone in a similar position? -K

    If you need referrals for any vendors, this is a great place to ask!!
    I'd check out Indiewed online it is SUCH a great, small wedding fair and they have an event in a couple of weeks.
    If you need an amazing photographer check out Erica Rose (http://www.erosephoto.com) also amazing. She travels so you could do your e-shoot here and I bet she'd come to Philly for your wedding (if that's where you'll get married!).

    welcome to the board!  there are lots of nice, helpful ladies here.  there are occassionally knottie get together's (i think they are planning one right now?), try and get in on that! :)

    i am constantly getting emails about free tickets for bridal shows. if you want to message me your email address or something, i'd be happy to forward it to you. if anyone is interested in getting together for a show, i would be in. let me know....

    Welcome to the city!  My fiance and I are going to Indie Wed this Wednesday (http://www.indiewed.com/)  It's a bridal expo, but more unconventional.

    If you're planning on doing a wedding in Chicago and haven't booked a venue yet, I would HIGHLY recommend doing that asap.  We're doing our wedding at Salvage One, and they had no Saturdays left for 2012, and there were no summer Fridays left, either.

    hi and congrats! I would recommend going to Indie Wed too! I went right after I got engaged and it was awesome :)

    Definitly check out the sticky at the top for recommendations and the Chicago Knotties married bios. I got some great vendor recommendations from there. I promise I'll write mine soon too :)
