Parents Gifts

One set of parents is pretty much paying for the wedding.  Are you still buying gifts for both sets of parents?  If so, are you getting them the same thing or different things or more things for the parents that are paying for the wedding?

We're getting both sets of parents the same gift--a professional photo album.

Katers, we are in the same boat.  My parents are paying for the entire reception and FI and I are paying for the rest.  At the rehearsal dinner we are going to give both parents very similar gifts....not sure what they are quiet yet....definitely embroidered handkerchiefs for the moms, probably gifts cards or something...idk!  Anyway, FI and I have talked about doing something extra for my parents.  They are gracious enough to be sending us on our honeymoon to Greece where we will be staying in their home.  We might do something for them there....add something nice to the house or something, or just bring something really nice back.

Sorry this post was kind of vague!

Both sets of parents are helping us but I would still get each set something anyways.
Our wedding is in december, so I got the mothers a little gift basket: a cashmere scarf that matches color of their dress, a sparkly brooch to wear the day of the wedding and their favorite snack...my mom loves Gardetto's and I don't really know FMIL's fav so just got her box of chocolates....got the baskets from Hobby Lobby and wrapped all in ribbon with a nice card.
LOL, FI in charge of dads and his groomsmen. He's making them all fishing rods b/c his bachelor party is more of a "man-cation" a weekend at a house boat fishing and drinking. I'll probably get my dad a little side gift just from me like a picture frame...also, our dj is letting me record a message to my dad and he's going to play it right at the beginning of our father-daughter dance telling him how much I love him and I'll always be his little girl and yadda yadda...but still it's sweet =D

My parents are paying for everything and FI's parents are paying for/helping with nothing. I still spent the same amount on each. My parents are getting Lettuce Entertain you gift cards and FI's parents got dinner/theater tickets to the Marriott Lincolnshire.

Wow, I am having a hard time because my stepsister got my parents a new front door....and I know that has to be between a grand and 2 grand. I can't afford that and now I am afraid my parents will think I am cheap! I really have no clue what to get. :( How do you beat a new front door????
