JOLIE IMAGES- PHOTOGRAPHY

Anyone use Jolie Images?  I have quite a few questions prior to driving down to see them and would love to see some real photos from yours or a friends wedding to see the quality, I plan on calling to get references prior to making an appointment and going down there.  Mapquest states an hour and 25 minutes but I don't know if that includes any of the dreaded Chi-Town Traffic (Yikes)

1.) Do you get to pick your photographer? or get to at least see their work and experience prior to signing the contract?

2.) Did anyone get the proof book are they full sized or thumbnails?

3.) How long until you get your Digital Copies?

4.) Album Packages- Did anyone get the albums?  My mom keeps reading it that you get 2 pictures included the rest you need to pay for....

5.) Did anyone use them for engagement pictures?

6.) How long until you get your album from after the wedding?

7.) If anyone was outside of the travel area of 25miles did they give a break down for the travel fee?

8.) Anyone have any other useful advice in regards to them? Positive comments? Negative comments?

Thank you ladies!

Hey, we are using Jolie for our wedding. We are using them for photography and videography. We just booked them last week. They were the most  resonable price we found and are super nice. I know we just booked them but so far they are very fast at getting back to you if you have any questions. We did get to pick our photography and see the work. Once you want to book with them they give you a website with all there photograhers and their work then you can pick who you want to work with, they have a lot to choose from. We got the V.I.P photo package it includes 10 hrs of photograhper, including pre ceremony. The only differences in the package prices is the album you get at the end. We got the package with the nicest album and most pics. With that package you also get to pick two extra things you want off a list they have. I think it's a pretty good deal.

My friend just used Jolie for her wedding. I wasn't too keen on the photographer --she was very direct and job-oriented which is good, but she wasn't very personable which is something I look for. BUT - the pictures are BEAUTIFUL! She took a TON of pictures...I mean over a thousand. The pictures were great, quality is amazing. If it were my wedding I would have been happy with the pictures.

I've had two friends use them, and they were both very happy with the results.  I've booked them for mine as well.  I got to pick the photographer based on their portfolio.

    The travel fee is $50.

They said you get the digital copies about 2 weeks after the wedding.

    Hope this helps!

i know of two friends of mine who used Jolie and i'm so happy i am not...

first the pictures were just...eh. nothing stand out or unique, nothing artistic or photojournalistic at all in the photos. and as for the actual photogs...at my one friend's wedding she was so awkward and odd. and the couple mainly did the directing for poses and fun ideas. the thing that really got me was during the reception the photographer went to each table and asked the guests to get up, and crowd together for a group table photo. i thought that was so tacky and i was very surprised she did this. you can imagine how hard of a time the table for the elder guests had getting up with their canes and pose together, after i saw them basically "shoo" off the photographer. if i saw my photographer insist that my 90 yr old grandma STAND UP (barely) so she gets that one photo i would slap her. sorry i just feel so strangly about this because i couldn't stand it. and i know that my friend did not ask her specifically to do the table thing (i asked). oh well. just be careful.
