Alterations in the Rockford area?

I still need my dress taken in, but I don't know where to go! I'm on a rather tight budget so I don't want to pay a fortune (my dress is from David's Bridal and their alterations are pricey so I'm not really wanting to go there), but I also don't want my dress getting ruined. I want to know if anyone knows of a good and fair-priced seamstress in or near Rockford? I am also getting married on September 2, so there is time constraint (not sure how long alterations typically take).

    Taylor the owner of TWStyle can do alternations. She did them for my dress, and many other dresses of mine! She is located on the Northside of Chicago! I know it's a bit of a drive from Rockford, but she can most likely do them on the spot : ) Her email is info@taylorwilsonstyle.com. Good luck!

    You know, the bridal shop doing my alterations is in Clinton WI and they're really reasonably priced for alterations, but I don't know if they do alterations on dresses that they didn't sell.  They're only about 45 minutes from Rockford I think.

    All I will say about Rockford is do *not* go to Castronovo's.  Those people are scam artists.

    Vince the Taylor was always my go-to for alterations. I'm not sure they will take on something as complicated as a wedding dress, but they are reputable and worth a call.
