I went to Mario Tricoci years ago with my mom, I remember it being a fairly decent haircut, but I wasn't sure why it was any better than the local lady.  Of course I was a 17 yo know it all then.  No idea about wedding hair though.

I have heard people tell me that the prices at Tricoci don't necessarily mesh with their services.  We have had very good luck at Avalon Spa in Deer Park, and my own salon, De Carlo's in Palatine is very good as well.  Avalon can accommodate many girls simultaneously.  They have affordable (@$40) make-up applications as well.

There is also a Tricoci school in Libertyville where the prices are lower than their regular salon.
  • I love Antonucci's.  I have been going there since I was little.  I'm now living away from the Chicago area, but I try to schedule my haircuts for the times that I'm back!
  • Main Stream Beauty is a mobile salon and their prices are awesome.  They do awesome work too!
  • Leianne at Salon Zara in Algonquin, IL is amazing. She did my hair for my wedding and she's doing my best friends hair for her wedding in October.
