venue/ceremnony site recs

Hi all! I am in the beginning stages of planning and am looking for the perfect venue. I live in the southwest suburbs (downers grove) and am looking for a venue that can host both ceremony and reception. The vibe I am going for is romantic, lots of candle light, maybe with some vintage aspects. looking for a venue that is not super expensive. Hope that gives you an idea of what Im looking for!  Thanks for any suggestions!

Look into DiNolfo's in Homer Glen. Its a nice place and they have a chapel there as well. Also the Oddysee in Tinley Park.

Check out Winnetka Community House.  The drive isn't bad and their prices are great.  They have an outdoor garden area that is really pretty and nice for an outdoor ceremony.  We just did our tasting and the food was awesome!  :)

The Waterford in Elmhurst is really nice and reasonably priced. I am having my ceremony and reception there in November.

Danada House in Wheaton.  If you are having a summer wedding, they have a beautiful garden they set up for weddings.

Check out Mayslake Peabody Estate in Oak Brook. We had our ceremony in front of the gorgeous chapel and our reception in the Event Hall. They have many rooms to choose from. The grounds are gorgeous. Especially around the chapel where we were married. You are the only event of the evening. www.mayslakepeabody.com
