Reception idea....what do you think?

I am having the cookie/sweet table as my wedding favors. Also, my FI insists on making CDs of our favorite songs to hand ut.   What do you think about these 2 ideas:

1.  I am thinking of making something similar to a menu card to put on the place settings for dinner to let my guests know about the sweet table.

2.  Do you think I should make something like a Thank You note with a picture or something to put on the Sweet table itself (in an 8 x 10 frame) and to let the guests know they can take home some cookies and candy if they want?  I am planning on purchasing larger favor bags and placing them on the table.

I think it's nice but not necessary. At the weddings that I've been to they've just had a sweet table with the favor bags and everyone has loaded up. If you want to put something on the table to indicate they are favors, I would think of a cute poem you could print and frame.

We actually did both of those. We did a CD for the favor, and had the sweet table. HOnestly, people pigged out on the sweets right after dinner. It was out all night (even before dinner) but people didn't really touch it (that I can remember).

It was a HUGE hit at the end of the night. Here's what we put in it:
- Skittles
- M&M's
- Chocolate Covered Raisins

- Starburst
- Twizzlers
- Hershey Kisses
- Smarties
- Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

I have some items for sale (pics coming soon for my bio) that I used for my candle table if you're interested. Let me know and I"ll send you a message when I have all of that up.

I would put a little sticker or tag on the bags/boxes you are going to put out with the buffet.  You can find them all over etsy or DIY.
