Reception sites for fall wedding???

Any suggestions for reception venues that would be fun for a late October wedding?I really like the idea of the Everal Barn in Westerville... that rustic feel is much more our style than something like a country club or hotel ballroom and seems like it would be just perfect for the fall.  Has anyone ever had/been to a wedding at the Everal Barn?  Can you think of any other places in Columbus that would have that same rustic charm?

This one is not in Columbus, but I am getting married on October 31 this year @ Cheers Chalet in Lancaster. My ceremony will be outside just at sunset, I am really looking forward to the leaves changing!!! Plus, its very affordable. :)

We had our reception at Cheers Chalet last September. It was awesome. They set it all up, take it all down and box it all up for you. I can email you some pics if you want. We were at the Cheers building at the top of the hill. However, it isn't cheap. We ended up spending aboujt $8500 on a $5500 minimum not including alcohol because the drinks are a seperate compnay and don't apply to the minimum, plus tax and service charge and all of that fun stuff. Location is great, service is great, my guests still talk about how awesome the food was, but it was expensive. We had the Roman Pasta Saute, and our guests went nuts over it. If you have any questions, let me know!

The Four Seasons Columbus in Hillard is a suggestion. They have exposed beams and lots of windows.

Thanks PunkVeg & second time around!  I checked out their website and it looks beautiful.  Would you say that it was overall more affordable than the other places you looked at?  We are just starting out in the wedding planning process (engaged 1 1/2 months!!!... and going to visit some potential sites for the first time next Saturday!) so we're not sure what kinds of "hidden" costs to expect.  second time around, did you do your ceremony at Cheers or just your reception?PunkVeg, I will be hoping for perfect weather and beautiful fall leaves for your wedding day!

I just had my reception there. Just keep in mind, almost all venues now charage a 20% service charge (tip for staff) even if you have a buffet dinner. They also have charges like: if you want them to cut the cake and provide plates for it, it is $1 per person. My cake lady (jenny's baked goods) offered a full service package that included no deposits on cake plates and pillars, and she stayed to cut the cake and serve it. She also packaged up the leftovers. I bought fall themed paper plates and plastic forks at the dollar store and saved a bunch. Just keep in mind that they raise the prices every year just a little, and the only price that is protected from that is your room rate. I had my rehersal dinner there, dropped off everything for the reception then, showed them how I wanted a place setting and the centerpeices set up, and they did the rest. They boxed everything up as guests left the night of. None of my family had to do anything. I loved it. They also have alot of great places to take pics. We went to one of the gazebos near the building for pictures while my guests had appetizers and drinks. They couldn't see us, so no realized we were there, and pics went quickly. Our mothers went in and checked on the guests, while we did bridal party pics, then came out to do pics with us.
