Sorry it took me so long writting the reviews but we have been so busy getting everything all together with job, new house and new country for me.
CEREMONY: Holy Cross Church in Chicago. WONDERFUL! They were really nice and patient with us towards the entire process and they always squeezed us in their schedule when i wasn't able to attend to any of the pre-cana meetings (i was travelling from Mexico back and forth). The music that we had for the ceremony (marimba) was absolutely amazing!
VENUE: Meridian Banquets in Rolling Meadows. WONDERFUL!!! I have no word to express how happy and glad i was since day one when we visited until the day of the wedding. Joyce (my coordinator at the venue) was always so nice and willing to respond to every single question to this crazy bride planning a wedding in long distance. She would give nice advices on colors and decoration. The food was amazing, everybody keeps talking about it and the service was really great, they always making sure we were happy with everything. I have absolutely no doubt on recommending to anyone. Don't hesitate on this place if you are thinking on choosing this venue. The prices were extremely affordable since they have really good packages that include the fee of the rental, 4 hours open bar, and cake. We saw other venues and Meridian offers a much better price with all the stuff that is included.
DJ. WINDY CITY MIX: AMAZING! He totally saved our lives. We had a nightmare with other dj, and we were lucky to find him and have the date available 3 days before the wedding! He really helped us to cool down and get things done in such extremely short time. He kept the things going smooth during the planning. The day of the wedding was great, he kept the dancefloor packed! Rodrigo rocks!
PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO: JOLIE IMAGES. Very good! They offer really extreme affordable packages and their work is amazing, i am so glad that i got them both and i think since they work at same company makes the work between the photograper and videographer run smooth. The pictures were lovely and delivered on time! Video is still pending since is being edited. Seriously, we didn't have to spend that much to get amazing pictures for such a affordable price.
GROOMS ATTIRE, MEN'S WEARHOUSE in Bloomingdale. Good! They were really helpful on picking the vest and tie for groom and picking the suit. My only complaint is that they they close really early on sundays to bring back the rented vest and shoes.
I cannot review wedding dress, invitations, or flowers, since all were made in Mexico, but they were absolutely amazing, my dress was made from scratch and the invitations were amazing (even the venue coordiantor asked me to keep one for her.
