Reception Venue

My fiance and I are getting married at Paradise Cove Crystal Chapel in Ko'Olina. We have talked about renting a large home for accommodations for guests (as maybe a cheaper alternative than a hotel for them) and to also have our dinner reception on the lawn of the property. We have a few in mind that we have kept in contact with the owners in Hawaii but we are also looking for other ideas. Has anyone does this before or have other recommendations? Maybe a restaurant? We are going to have about 40 - 50 guests.

we had 47 people at our wedding. I will tell you that Ko'Olina is quite populated. We were able to use Lani's property for the wedding rather than Ko'Olina and am very happy with this. All the Ko'Olina lagoons would have had a lot of people in the background for pics whereas Lani is isolated yet part of Ko'Olina. Lani is private. As far as a restaurant...check out Roy's at Ko'Olina. We were going to do our rehearsal there...but decided to do everything at my aunt's in Hawaii Kai a few months before. THey have wedding/event menus and I felt it was reasonable. Best of luck! =)
