Has anyone used DJ Ron before or heard anything about him?  Any feedback would be great!

Personally, i would not. He was suppose to call me back 2X and never did.  I have heard some good and some not so good things...mostly the latter...so i would air on the side of caution if i were you.  We are using DJ Boomshot who came highly recommended by my coordinator. HTH! J. :-)

I don't have any direct negative experience with DJ Ron, but I would strongly suggest that you search around on the web.  We had looked into him but declined to contact him based on some troubling reviews.

If you are interested in other recommendations, we interviewed about 10 DJs on island.  I'm happy to share notes.  We settled on DJ Dan who vibed super well with us -- we wanted someone who could control a crowd and MC, not just play music.  I can't recommend Dan highly enough.

We are also using 'DJ Boomshot', AKA, Jay Langworthy.  We were looking for the un-wedding DJ.  I am not a fan of the super cheesy MC so our coordinator recommended Jay.  We spoke with him on the phone and told him we do not want the typical silly MC, and he is definitely not.  He's a really nice guy and works as a club DJ so we have a lot of faith in him.

I haven't  heard anything good nor bad about Ron.

I had read some scary reviews of DJ Ron, but he was amazing! During our first meeting he acknowledged the poor reviews and explained from his perspective, which we accepted.  His mixing that night (and the wedding) was great, too.  The night of the wedding, he was a highlight.  I have to say we had an amazing playlist, but he read the crowd like a pro! (guests aged 21-72). The dance floor was full the whole night (from 7-10PM).  Everyone was jumping around getting hot and sweaty, just when they would’ve left to rest he put on slow songs.  The week of he made sure we were comfortable with everything, and reconfirmed all of our MC needs as well.  As an extra sweet touch, he made a mix CD for our guests to jam to on their way to the After Party. So glad we found him!
