Game day pictures

Has anyone (or know of anyone) who has taken pictures on campus during an OSU home game day. We would like to get some shots on the Oval or even near the stadium itself. I know campus can be crazy but we are planning on going around 2 or 3 when there is an 8pm game. Does anyone think we would be able to do this and get around with our large bus full of the bridal party?

If anything night games are worse (as in more people and more crowds) If you are talking about the USC game people will be crowding around campus the night before so the fact that its a night game won't make much of a difference.  The oval itself might not be too bad but you will not be able to get a large bus anywhere near the stadium in a timely manner.  You will also have to fight large crowds of people by the stadium at that time bc TV crews are always camped out by the stadium.

Im sure some of the areas away from the Stadium will not be too bad. Like pp said, since it is the day of USC, it will be much worse. You also have to consider that people will be drunk and stupid and may see someone taking wedding pictures and think it is funny to ruin them. I am an OSU fan so I definitely don't think we are all like this, but there are many crazy football fans. One other thing to consider is the construction on 315. Traffic will be a lot worse from people coming different directions and might make traveling difficult. Good luck with it, but I know at least near the stadium you will have a lot of tailgating and it would be very difficult to get a picture without crazy fans in the background. You do have the plus of it being before move in day so there will be less actual students on campus. Maybe you could go on South Oval? There are some great areas over there and you could avoid the heavy chaos near the stadium? HTH!

Your bus will have to have a special pass to drive anywhere near the staduim on a game day, and they are not cheap, like $100 or more. You may want to find out if your bus can even go there before you make any plans.

It should also be noted that they close off some exits of 315 on game day (if they're not already closed due to construction). If you end up doing this, block off probably twice as long as it would normally take to combat traffic/people.

Thanks guys. I think we might risk it and just see how far we can go. We won't have to get on or off the highway so I think it should be slightly easier. If that part of campus seems to crowded we will just turn around.
