Paradise Cove for ceremony

Hi! 

This is my first post on the board, but I've been browsing it for a few months now and have already found some really helpful information. I'm planning a destination wedding in Oahu for April 2012 and am starting to look for a ceremony site and could use some help.

One of the sites I'm curious about is Paradise Cove. We've been there before for the luau, but I haven't heard much about weddings there. Does anyone know anything about it or have any experience with it for weddings?

Welcome to the board!!  Are you looking to have just your ceremony there or your reception as well?

We initially considered having our reception at a luau, because of the fun and laid-back atmosphere.  However, one issue to consider is privacy, since you won't have control over the timing of events, etc. and surrounded by other guests, tourists, children, etc.  However, if you want a big party and a show, that would certainly fit the bill...

If you're thinking ceremony only, disregard the previous comment!    I think one knottie had her ceremony there before and it was gorgeous!  I'm not sure about details, but you could probably find out from your planner, if you have one.  HTH!!

P.S.  Lanikuhonua is in that area, which is very popular with knotties on this board.  You might want to check it out, as the scenery is GORGEOUS!!

We're just interested in it for the ceremony as we're planning on having the reception at a restaurant.

Honestly, I can't remember for the life of me who got married at Paradise Cove before (I remember seeing photos a while back).  Hope this helps you get started!

Our ceremony will be on the Paradise COve Beach, which is a public beach.  then we'll head down to the luau afterwards.  We just want it to be laid back and we will get there before the luau begins, which is 5pm.
