Wedding colors?

My BFF is having a terrible time trying to figure out her wedding colors.  How did you decide?

I found my bridesmaid dresses first and took it from there....I also had a few colors in mind, but I really let the dress I found guide me.  It helps to know what you don't want and to consider the location and season.  For me, a Maui wedding meant that I wanted some color that would look great with tropical plants and flowers.  Hope that helps.

Mine were orange and blue - I was going for the moment when the sunset hits the ocean. =D

We also picked the bridesmaid dress and from the colors available we went from there.

We picked colors that are meaningful to us.  Fiance is a huge L.A. Kings fan, and I like them too - so we went with purple and silver.  (And we picked them before the Kings won the Stanley Cup, btw, so we're taking credit for that!  Ha.)

We drew our inspiration from the beautiful turquoise waters of the Pacific, the shimmering pearl shells, fragrant fuschia orchids and of course our Alma Mater, East Carolina University (purple). We thought this would be a beautiful way to tie the islands and mainland together. Good luck to your friend.

We wanted bright and tropical colors....I think I decided on pink and orange after seeing lots of gorgeous photos of the combination while searching inspiration boards.

We chose our colors to match the tropical theme - orange and blue. I found my wedding dress (which has color in it) before we found the maids dresses so we used that as guidance to decide on their dress color. Good luck to you!

We really wanted our colors to reflect our personalities, and to just be all around fun, and happy. So we ended up going with yellow, gray, and cream.
