Hi there! I saw your pics from your wedding at Smiths Brothers and loved it! Would you mind telling me what your thoughts on the Hors D'Ouvers reception and the overall feel of the night was. The terrace looks really nice. Also, do you feel the overall cost per person was reasonable? Thank you!

I can honestly say there is not one thing we would have changed about our reception.  We choose to do a heavy hor d'ourvers reception because we wanted it to have more of an upscale cocktail party feel rather than a formal sit-down dinner feel.  We had passed hor d'ouvers for the first hour and then they brought out two "stations".  We ended the night with gourmet pizzas after everyone had a little buzz going.  We are appetizer people, and we were able choose some of our favorites (the sushi was a HUGE hit!).  I feel like everyone was very relaxed and able to let loose on the dancefloor!  The Venue is set up perfectly for this kind of reception.  The terrace was packed all night and it was a great place for people to mingle. We ended up paying around $35/person for all the food and drinks (we provided the alcohol, so it was only the non-alcoholic drinks and mixers) and I feel like we got a lot for our money.  It was one of the least expensive places we looked at and ended up being the total package.  We are very happy with how the money was spent. If you have any other questions, just let me know!
