I'm actually making my own cranes and using them as most of my decor in lieu of flowers. My goal is 5000 cranes. I'll get the paper in this week and see if it's doable or not. I still have a year so I think I'll have time. Are you doing white cranes? or color?

I finally finished folding my cranes about a week or so ago - HUGE checkmark on my to do list!!  I folded 11 packs of paper, minus spoilage about 1085 cranes in all.  Luckily my FMIL is mounting them into their family mon.  There are a few different companies on Oahu, but lots of them just have phone numbers.  It's About Time mounts theres differently and the glass has the design on top of the cranes.

Thanks for the responses!  I'm doing silver cranes.  I did find It's About Time, but they're pretty pricey.  I'm on a low, low budget.Does your FMIL have any tips for doing it herself?

We were lucky and had a friend do our cranes for us as our wedding gift.  It was an awesome 3-D petroglyph-style honu.  There's no way I could even begin to figure out how to DIY something like that on my own, lol.  I could pass on her info to you if you'd be interested.    Framemasters (on Kapahulu) also does crane mounting.  Not sure how much they charge but it might be cheaper than It's About Time since the type of mounting they do is different?
