where did you put the flight information?

Hello again..Just a quick question for those that signed up for the airline discounts...How did you tell your guests about the discount code?  Did you put it on your website, an insert in the save the date or invite? email?Originally I was thinking of just putting it on the wedding website, but a friend of mine recently got married and hardly anyone even bothered to go to her site..(mostly older guests). So is it weird to announce a 5% discount in the STD? Thanks again! (and a special thanks to mrs nicole for her previous recommendation of the anela garden chapel...chosen and booked! yay!)

Hi!  I don't think it's weird to put it in the STD--I think HappyGoLuckyGal included details like lodging in hers, which is similar to the airline details. I put mine on our website--our STD said "Please visit www...... for event, accommodation and travel details" and then I have a travel page on my website.I know American will send you free inserts to include--I'm requesting them just b/c I'm curious to see what they look like. Here's the wording I have on my wedding website: Special Airfare Discount - American Airlines & Hawaiian Airlines We have arranged for a 5% discount off of flights booked with American Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines for our guests. If you book your flights with either of these airlines, please refer to the information below to receive your discount. AMERICAN AIRLINES The 5% discount is good for travel to and from Kahului Airport (OGG) between June 12, 2010 and June 26, 2010. Visit www.aa.com to make your reservation online. When booking, be sure to input the following code as the AA.com Promotion Code: XXXXXX (there is a real code here) HAWAIIAN AIRLINESPlease check back soon for more details--we should have this information in just a few days!

hmm. Yeah the website idea seems to be a good idea..more appealing than having to make inserts, that's for sure!  Did you password protect your website? Or if I leave it open, is there any problem with the 'general public' potentially accessing the codes?

Woo-hoo!  Congrats on booking a ceremony location!  That is a HUGE check!  Glad to help...that's what we're here for.  Anela Gardens is a beautiful venue.I would definitely post the info on your wedding website, but I would also include the airline info and your wedding website URL with your STDs and maybe even with your invite for procrastinators and those who may have misplaced their STDs.  I think giving a hard copy of the info is good for those who don't have internet access or are not quite computer savvy.  HTH & GL!

No, I didn't password protect it, I don't think there's any harm in having it unprotected, as it is in no way binding to me.  That I know of anyway!  :D

I put it at the very bottom of the STD.  It looked fine.

We put all the details on our wedding website. Plus our parents spread the word.

Hi!  We put ours on our website and also spread the word.  I think it's very helpful (not weird at all - that's what they're there for; to give your guests as much info as possible ahead of time) to also put it on your STD's.We didn't password protect our code for the same reasons as pp
