New here - Floral and Dress questions!

Let's see...Brief intro - Hi, my name's Stephanie (Steph) and I'm a proud mommy of... two dogs, Chubbs [blonde shepherd husky mix] and Zira [min pin/fox terrier].  Fiancee is Brian - he's pretty awesome .   We've been engaged for about 5 months now. We live in Pearl City (Oahu) and will be married 04/03/2010 at the Bayer Estate in Hawaii Kai.I have noooooooooo idea where to go for floral arrangements.  I need 5 bouquets (including mine) 5 boutonnieres and will need anywhere between 7 and 9 centerpieces.  Maybe a vine for the arbor, because Im not sure if it's included.  Budget? $850  Any tips?I bought my dress from the wonderful Vickie Wong @ Vows Bridal about a month ago and they told me it would be in late January/early Feb.  Is that normal?  Im a huge planner ahead-er and this seems like a short amount of time.  I want to buy my shoes NOW not 2 months before the date, lol.Thanks in advance!

I am getting my flowers from Todd of Always Flowers.  It's on Liliha right after McDonald's.  I also heard good things about SU-V expressions and met with her but didn't use her 'cause Todd was totally in tune with my style and knew exactly what i was looking for.  There's someone in Pearl City that does flowers too but can't remember the name...I'll find out and let u know.I think it can take a while to get your dress.  Why do you have to wait for the dress to come in before buying your shoes?

I'll look into those, thanks :)I'm a giant (tall - 5'10"-11"), so I shouldnt have to have my dress hemmed.  I dont want to get heels that are too high and make my dress look too short, or heels that are too low and have the dress dragging on the ground.  Ive tried on the dress at two diff locations and they were diff lengths...so I have to wait.

Did you order your dress with extra length? I am the same height and did with mine to make sure it wouldn't be too short. I don't know if you had thought about that? My dress took a while to come in but its worth the wait. Mine came in last week, then they have to take it in a little (my diet worked, lol), so I won't be getting it till Saturday. But really I have found that wedding planning is all about waiting. I hate it.

I didnt even know you could order extra length, I just knew about petite length. Boooo.  I hope it works out   One was way too short for me ::crosses fingers::Glad your diet worked, your date is getting close - good luck!
