Inviting Kahu for dinner

Did you guys send formal invite to your Kahu or officiant? I was going to ask him to stay for dinner, but wondering if I should give him a heads up.So he can invite his wife as well? Also I feel like I should invite my ceremony musicians.I just want to know if I should make place cards?

If you'd really like them to consider your invitation I would definitely send formal invitations and have seated place cards as well. We didn't end up inviting any of our vendors to the reception. When we invited our Kahu to stay after our rehearsal for lunch he respectfully declined, but it was a last minute invite.

I asked our kahu and her husband to stay for the ceremony and join us for dinner but she said they will probably decline. I did this by phone, so no formal invitation. If they change their mind and end up staying, I will make regular place cards for them.

We also invited our officiant (+1 too) but she ended up not being able to make it.

Us too. Well i have but for some reason the invitation has not gotten to them yet, lol. I placed it for the Mr. & Mrs. being that he's a Chaplin and with Navy life seperating couples/families so often it was more of a suggestion for them to come have fun on us afterwards. They did and had a great time at the girlfriends wedding last year so I'm sure it's appreciated.
