I didn't know you were a JET too! Lisakeiko was also one... Which prefecture are you in now? Geez, I might beg and plead and see if I can get some of my favourite Japanese snacks from you... LOL! Kidding, I don't think you could put kara age in the mail. And I'm sure you live nowhere near my little village.

I sure was!  I was placed in a SMALL village in Nagano, which is where I met FI.  We now live in Aichi, a little bit outside of Nagoya.  Probably will be moving back to Nagano (maybe Matsumoto) in March. Where were you placed?  I would be more than happy to send you some snacks, but yeah, would leave out the karaage!

Seriously? I was in Gifu-ken, on the Nagano border. You had to drive into Nagano and then drive back in to Gifu to get there If you take the Chuo line down from Matsumoto, it'll go through my sleepy (and violent) village Sakashita. I loved Matsumoto - really beautiful place!

Wow, small world!  I checked out your bio, looks like we were there around the same time.  I went over in 2003 and stayed for 2 years.  BTW, I want your wedding cake!  Hope you don't mind if I send inspiration photos to my aunt, who will be making it.
