Hey Jackie! I thought I'd start a new thread with some of the answers.Joanna is awesome - you will NOT regret hiring her! She's so intuitive and keeps such a low profile. All of our guests kept saying she was the best wedding photographer they'd ever seen at a wedding (and, they all seem to have friended her on facebook, so that's saying something too!) Seriously, I wish we could get married all over again, just so I could work with her!Okay, now for the questions: Can you tell me how much time you spent taking "getting ready" photos and pre-ceremony photos? I will have Joanna for 5 hours and I'm not sure where to allot the time. We had her for 7.5 hours, but really, for the pre-ceremony pics, she didn't need much time. Like half an hour or so. I coordinated it with Jessica so that Joanna arrived 15 minutes before my make-up was finished so she could get the shots of that. (So, I asked Joanna to arrive at 2:00, and Jessica was to finish by 2:15)Also, your make-up was so natural looking.. .What did you tell Jessica to have that end result (I have her, too)? I would love a similar look (I don't wear much make-up in real life). Do you remember how long it took her to do your make-up? I think she took about an hour or so, but we were SUPER chatty. I think it usually takes 45 mins to an hour. I didn't tell her to do anything actually, I just let her do what she wanted! One of my bridesmaids asked her how she decided what to do and she said something to the effect of "the skin tells me". Frankly, I think it's all about the airbrush and the false eyelashes! In person, obviously you're going to look made-up. My mum NEVER wears make-up and kept walking around saying she didn't look like herself. When she saw the pictures though, she understood how well it turned out!Let me know if you have any other questions - they're two fabulous vendors and I cannot recommend either of them enough!

Hi Alyson, Thank you so much for responding! I have been telling people all weekend about your gorgeous photos and wedding! Everything really looked so amazing. I really appreciate your help. I guess I do have another question. I also booked Dan Sanchez (the dynamic duo, right?). How did you come about your hair design? It turned out beautiful. Did you tell him what you had in mind, or did he take a look at your hair and offer suggestions? How long did it take him to do you hair? He will be doing mine and my MOH, and I am wondering how long that will take. Also, I am not exactly sure what to do with my hair. I have a few photos, but I don't know if they will work with my hair type. Did you wash your hair that day or the night before? I know he wants the hair to be completely dry, but I am debating whether or not to wash it that morning. I can't tell you how happy I was to see your photos. Seeing them really put my mind at ease about my choice of photographer, hair stylists and makeup artist! You looked so beautiful and happy, and the photos were simply amazing!!!
