Removing tarnish from tiara?

My future sister in law has given me the option of using her tiara and veil. I LOVE the tiara but it has tarnished since her wedding. Anyone have any advice on how to clean it?

    Try tarn-x, but make sure that you know what metal the tiara is made out of first and check the label on Tarn-x.....hope that helps!

    I just cleaned my daughter's tarnished tiara.  Using a glass baking dish, lay a piece of foil the size of the tiara in the bottom of dish, shiny side up.  Lay tiara on top of foil.  Add boiling water to cover tiara, add 2 Tbls of baking soda and 1 tsp of salt.  Let sit 30 minutes.  Rinse with soapy water and dry thoroughly.  There were a couple of tarnished areas left so I used jewelry cleaner to spot clean.  It looks brand new!!!
