PIP - Passport Invites

I haven't been on here much, but I've still been working on wedding stuff! Got my passport invites done - I only had to make 7, because everyone knew they were coming already, but we wanted a sort of "keepsake" for them and for us. Cover and first pages:Map (I always like to see others' maps for inspiration):

Those are great!  I think that will make a great wedding keepsake & even if your guests already know all of the details, it is still fun to receive something like that in the mail!

All that stuff looks really great, if you want to make your PIP's smaller just use this code,<*img src="tiny url here" width=200*>Just remove the *'s

Thank you all! It's fun to finally be posting a finished product, after all these months of admiring everyone else's. The map, by the way, was in the middle of the invite. I will try to figure out how to post the other pages (inc. a timeline); they are disjointed at this time because of having to lay it out to be like a book. Tifani - thanks for the code for reducing pic size, that'll come in handy BoBride - I work in GIS, so have access to mapping software (totally cheating!) It was a lot of fun to make maps with palm trees and fish, though, instead of the usual Alaskan-related things

The passports look amazing!!! They turned out so great...I have been thinking about trying to make these, was it really difficult? How long did it take you? And did you have a template from somewhere? (I can't remember if you already posted that...I can't scroll back through everyone's replies now that I'm posting! Ha!)

Thank you, again! I am seriously flattered by the comments, they made my day yesterday after all the work! Maui2011 - I don't know the rules either! I will say that I have a main job and a second part-time job right now, plus planning for my own wedding in 2 months time...how many people are you inviting? Simmy89 and Mauidandy - I started out using a template from Aylee's Bits (website), but I struggle with layouts in Word, so switched to using a mapping program available at my work. If you are comfortable with Word, Aylee's Bits has a more elaborate template available for $10.It took several weekends to do the layouts and get the info in that I wanted, download fonts, figure out what fonts looked OK together. You don't want to go too crazy with them, or everything looks disjointed. So I picked a few that I used consistently throughout (like BlackJack, Calibri, Candara). For passport "stamps", I created some within the mapping program, and some were images found on Google. The timeline stuff was mostly clipart.Printing, cutting, and final layout and stapling took me half a Saturday, but I only made 7. Actually, that did include boarding passes that I made also.If anyone is interested in ordering them from a professional, some of the examples that were fun to look at were on websites for Ana de Roux (she advertises $4.50 per invite, no minimum order), StylishScribe (start at $3.50 ea), 1st impressions....there's a LOT of beautiful examples out there.

I'm late, but just wanted to say everything looks really beautiful!!  It seems a shame you can't send more out because they are so nice!

Sorry I didn't realize the passports were invites...i was so blown away...i thought they were an itinerary of sorts and info for your guests. I am not sure how many people will be coming...i'm hoping for 30...we will be inviting between 75-100...I was thinking of mailing the passports or putting them in the OOT bags but not using them as invites. My wedding is not for two years so time is on our side. I would be really interested in our passports for the guests that have confirmed along with your wonderful map. If 30 is too much than just our map would be great. If you would like to chat via email by addy is julie4233 at gmail dot com. Thx! J. :-)
