PIP: Candy Buffet Setup

We are doing a candy buffet at our wedding. The candies will be in our colors...tropical blue and tropical green. Here is how I am looking at possibly setting up the buffet. The pic isn't the best as there was way too much sun coming in the window. But it gives you an idea of what we are trying to do. To the left is our candy buffet poem. Right behind that is a vase that will have a floral arrangement in it. There are two hurricane candle stick things in the back that will have round candles in each. Also some of the containers will be raised to make them higher. I plan on using some fabric to drape over the table. Also each container will be have a satin ribbon around it with the name of the candy in the container. Tell me what you think ladies. Thanks!!!

Look at you you PIP queen!  :)Loving your candy buffet setup!  How do you plan to raise some of the containers?  Cardboard platforms spray-painted in your wedding colors would look really nice.  You could even attach the ribbon to the container in your contrasting color.  :)

Thats going to look good. For my reference, how are you going to ship the jars to Hawaii?  I would love to do a candy buffet but don't know how to get everything there!

Thanks ladies! It will look better once I order my candy and add my signs and ribbon! M&M's_Maui: Yes, I am planning to use small cardboard boxes as well as ribbon. I have blue and green ribbon which matches our wedding colors. Kaesha: Of course you can come. haha I LOVE candy too!! I had such a sweet tooth as a child!! And really have to be careful around Halloween...I like to eat my son's candy. amyj513: I purchased all my containers at Ross Dress for Less stores here in Hawaii and Walmart. The 3 apothecary jars only cost $10.99 each from Ross. diorgrl8: Yep...the windows were a dead giveaway. haha I live here on the windward side...lived here almost my entire life. irishmilla02: I bought the letters here at Floradec a few months ago. They are white wooden letters and then I just painted them with blue acrylic paint. Each letter cost $1.49. I was at Floradec a week ago and they still had lots of letters located ona display right near the entrance.

I LOVE candy buffets. I mean, they're like a childhood dream coming true! We're wanting to do a candy/pastry buffet. Someone else mentioned Beard Papa's has great cream puffs, and Great Harvest has good scones?Anyways, your setup looks awesome; apothecary jars look so good. What does your poem say?As a side note - I will be in Oahu, windward side, for my wedding just a month after you, so if you're wanting an easy sale....and speaking of that, I'm making an assumption here, but are you the one who was going to buy the parasols/basket from Regina? If you are, and you want another easy unload, I would buy those from you too!

Candy Buffet Step right up To the candy buffet. It’s a sweet addition To a wonderful day. This is a treat We are offering to you, On this beautiful day When we say “I Do”. Use the scoop, Choose what you like, Leave some for others, Please be polite. As you enjoy Your bag of treats, Please remember LOVE IS SWEET!!
