White or Black pages

in a photo album? Which shows off pictures better?

such a hard choice! is there any way you can choose to have both? B&W gives it that vintage old feel, but if your photographer captured sweet colors from an amazing sunset, or you really want to show the tropical-ness of Hawai'i, it'd probably be better to go with color!

Ooh, sorry - I meant for a background. LOL! I'm going to do a mixture of both kinds of photos, but I don't know which shows them off better.

I like it against a white background, kinda like what your signature photo looks against the background on this post. I think if you went too black, it's less, wedding-y and can look too dark.

I think if a lot of the pictures have lots of light bright areas in it, black background might be a nice contrast.  White is always classic and a good choice.  Black might look more like an photographer's portfolio... Can you look at the way it looks with both choices?

I always choose black backgrounds when making albums, I think it puts more focus on the actual pictures. Your eye usually goes to the lightest part of the picture first, so if there's white around all the pictures, I would probably look at that first instead of the actual pictures.

I think black looks more artistic while white looks more.. wedding-y?  Just looked at your pics btw and they look great!  You are gorgeous and your hubby is a cutie!

Sounds like black is the winner!

Kinda late here 'cause it sounds like you already decided but I was going to say that I'd go with black pages too for the same reasons AliBlu mentions.  :)
