Help! Dress Advice

Hi!My fiance and I are getting married on 1/2/2011 in Oahu.  My question is this, I will try and make a long story short. My MOH and I went wedding dress shopping and I found a beautiful gown, it made both of us cry.  Problem is it was way out of my price range and was priced at 2,750.  I went home and found it online that was from a dress store that had closed due to financial problems.  It still has the tags attached.  The only problem is that it was a size too big.  I ended up buying the dress for 400 dollars against my parents advice (they still don't know I have it).  I took the dress to a local shop and they said it would cost under a 100 dollars to alter it to my size.  As well it was the floor model so it is not perfect, it has a small pen mark that the cleaners said would lighten but not come out completely and cleaning would cost 200 dollars .It also has a small snag on the train.   I am having buyers remorse and I am not sure what to do.  I love the dress it's beautiful I'm just worried about the alterations and cleaning. Any advice would be great! Also I have copied a link that shows what the dress looks like. http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/dresses/2096/Amy-Michelson--Faith-Size-6.htmlThanks!

I bought a sample sale dress myself and had buyer's remorse all week about it.  It's got a small spot that I can't even find unless someone shows it to me but is on the back side of one of my hips, and it'll probably need to be cleaned.  Minimal alterations b/c it fits and is the right length, but it does have a little tear in the fabric at the bottom of the corset  - that you can't see when the corset is tied, but that I'll have fixed by the tailor.  I was all freaking out that I didn't really love it, that I just got caught up in the moment, etc.  Then I tried it on again, and yes, it really is the purtiest thing around, and I really do want to like wear it every day.  :)  I took more pics, and I oogle them regularly. So, maybe you can put it on again, take some pics, and use those to remind you how much you love it.  Oh, and be happy that it's within your budget - that's huge.  Alterations ppl handle way harder stuff than this regularly, and if you don't notice the spot, no one else will either.

alterations under 100 bucks is cheap trust me, so don't worry about that, I am not sure about the 200 cleaning fee, seems a lil steep to me but I don't really know! I would not be upset about all the "other" charges because even if you had gotten the 2750 dress, you would still need some alterations, because no ones dress fits absolutley perfectly unless you are like 6 feet tall and a model. so no worries there, it seems like you are still getting such an amazing deal and if you were that in love with it that you cried, I say you got even luckier that you found it on super cheap sale. I think you are fine so don't worry you will look gorgeous!

Alterations under 100 is super duper cheap!!! I would definitely do that!! As far as the cleaning? Is it an important spot? Can you see it when you're wearing it? If you can't I would rather save the money than spend it on something else.
