What to eat on your wedding day

This is a note for all ladies who have had the joy of getting married already :) I want to know if you would recco any foods/meals to eat on the day of your wedding. I am deathly afraid I will get a stomach ache or bloat up like a balloon! What is the best thing to keep giving me energy, but not make me bloated and feel gross? Any ideas of a full day eating recco? I only ask because I have an extra sensitive tummy that acts up when I am stressed or eat weird food, so I wanted some tips of what everyone else did! I am also the girl who needs to eat every 2-3 hours or I feel sick and grumpy :) Thanks!!

we had complimentary breakfast from the Moana the morning of my wedding. my BMs had their H&M done in the bridal suite so we all enjoyed the breakfast. i was too excited to even eat BUT i made sure i ate something. i normally get into a bad mood if i have an empty tummy. i think i ate a sandwich and some fruits. next time i ate was during the dinner reception. actually, i also didn't eat much too :-/. i was too excited! after the reception, our friends and i headed over to Duke's for the after party. one of my friends ordered nachos and i happily helped myself to my friend's nachos lol. make sure you eat something even if you feel like you're not hungry! you need the energy to last you through the night. :-)

Three of my BMs and I had a big breakfast/brunch at 10:30am right before I had my H&M appt.  Then I ate apps right after the ceremony (had a special "cocktail hour" for the WP at the Hyatt while everyone else was heading the Westin)  Since you have a sensitive stomach I would try to stick to things you know won't give you a tummy ache.  For a good natural energy source I like the Nature Valley Oats & Honey Bar (in the green packaging).  They gave those to us when we did the Avon Walk & I got hooked!  Or even their trail mix bars fruit & nut bars!  Those are pretty good too.  Things you can easily stuff into a bag/purse make great foods to snack on throughout the day

I read an article about foods to avoid to help stop bloating and water retention...and salty foods was on the top of the list along with soda or any carbonated drinks...So i plan on cutting out anything salty a couple days prior...which, in hawaii, will be a real challenge!I'd say eat lots of protein like eggs for breakfast with whole grain to keep you full since you won't be eating for hours probably with everything going on! Good luck! you're soooo close!

I have the same problem of food issues but it's been going on for a long time and getting ready for my wedding has ended up giving me more answers on a long term basis then just an easy fix. Anyone ever heard of the Blood Type Diet? Well I started the Atkins over a month ago and during the first two weeks noticed that all the carbs I had stopped eating made me feel better cause before they were making me tired, bloated, lack of energy, sick feeling & major headaches. Well after more research and speaking with a friend she told me about the blood type diet. Because of my blood type which is O+ i am more of a meat eater hence why I felt so good during the first two weeks using the Atkins and it was easy for me. Just a thought, especially with it being one of the most important days of your life. Here's the website: http://www.drlam.com/blood_type_diet/ Just click on your blood type, I haven’t been strict on it but now instead of having a sandwich I'll have a salad or boiled eggs. Doing the two week cut down has made me really second guess if I want to "eat that" and feel like crap. BTW I had to have coffee so the whole headache thing wasn’t caffeine (even though they say you should give it up but it is ok), haven’t had the headaches since. You do however from the lack of sugars have a nice headache the first to fifth day but mine was only a day & 1/2. Also, what I found really interesting is that I figured out over a year ago that I was allergic to onions but now I'm thinking it wasn't so much just the onions it was a mix with the onions. Helps get rid of those food allergies you might not be able to figure out. Good luck ladies on your special day.

What a great question! I have wondered the same thing too! The best source of energy is protein which can be found in chicken or fish.  This will help you to feel fuller longer. Also fresh fruit like an apple will help keep your blood sugar stable longer.  I also find that low fat yogurt helps to settle my tummy when it gets upset.  You could also try tums or pepto which is usually very effective in settling upset tummies.  I also need to eat every couple hours, just remember to grab a snack when you can! Hope this helps!

Thanks ladies! I have actually tired the blood type diet before...I am A+, which is a hard blood type to follow! Its basically vegetarian and crazy wierd grains. I did like it a lot though, but my bisy life didnt allow me to stick to it. I am starting to narrow down foods which make me feel ill, they dont make any sense...but its a lot! Like I can't eat apples, NO dairy, no raw veggies, I'm really salt sensitive and dried fruit is my worst nightmare! Ugh. Stress makes it worse, which is why this whole week I have just felt sick! I am crazy busy at work trying to get my replacement up to speed and they are sucking every last thing out of me before I leave the office...which is in 30 MINUTES BY THE WAY!! YAY!! Thanks for all your advice ladies!!
