Engagement Pics?

Hi ladies!  Just was wondering how you all felt about engagement pictures.  Our wedding is 2 months away & we still have yet to take some.  We did plan to, but things have just been so hectic.  I'm wondering if it's even worth it, or should I just focus on other things.  My photog did recommend it though so we could get comfortable in front of the camera. =)

    i think it's a great way to get to know your photographer before the wedding so you can get comfortable! It also might be nice to have these casual-type pictures to use at the wedding (display, use as backgrounds for table numbers, make a guestbook, etc). Plus it might be nice later to have professional pictures of you and your fiance in something other than your wedding attire! It's super fun too :)

    We'll be doing ours 2 days before the wedding in Hawaii.  As pp mentioned nice to have pics not in wedding attire and to get comfortable in front of the camera.  Unfortunately, it will be with a different photog as we are flying ours in from Oahu for the day of and TTD the next day. Just had a thought...if we can get a cheap return flight maybe we can go to Oahu for the day and meet up with him there. J. :-)

    I completely agree with your photog and prior posters...it is REALLY good practice in taking pictures together--I was surprised at how unnatural I was at first, and now I'm glad we've already had a practice run by doing our engagement pics.

    I think that if you're getting married in two months you could just scratch it. Your wedding pics are going to be amazing and that's what matters. Unless, of course you really want some pics of you and FI in plain clothes. Otherwise it might be a waste of money. Just my opinion...

    I agree... its really close. Unless you want pictures of yourself in your home town. Wedding pics should be enough. If anything I totally suggest TTD (trash the dress) day after photos. I haven't gotten mine yet but I saw some and they came out amazing! Plus give you another reason to wear your dress!
