Maui cupcakes

Hey ladies,
We are thinking of canceling our current order of 70 cupcakes and possibly go the Costco route.  My fiance heard they could change the frosting if asked, and we would apply an orchid on each ourselves.  He also gets a bit annoyed with unnecessary costs added.  Right now we are paying $4.25/per cupcake + $50 stand rental + $70 delivery + $1/per cupcake to place on tray IF we dont do it ourselves (which we would).  Costco charges something like $1.25 each...over a 1/3rd less!...but they are sooo huge.
Anyone have any experience with cupcakes on Maui UNDER $4/each?  Wedding is in 4 months and if we went the costco route, we would need to look into stand rentals or make something up ourselves.

Have you heard of pinterest? It's a website with a ton of DYI how to's. I bet you could easily find a how to cupcake stand on there. I say save the money and go the Costoco route. Just keep in mind that someone will need to pick them up and set up. Best of luck!

Where are you getting married at? There's places in Lahaina that make them. Costco cupcakes are alright for a party, but I wouldn't like of them as being the best for a wedding.

Cake Walk Bakery does cupcakes and I do believe they are under $4/each. Her prices are very reasonable. If you need Heidi's contact info, please let me know!

I'm pretty sure Banyan Tree Deli and Bakery has cupcakes. Not sure on price. I'll be on Maui next week. I'll keep my eyes open for you and let you know when I get back.

Check out NoSh North Shore Maui Bakery.  They are based in Haiku and it looks liek they definitely do cupcakes.  Their website is acting up but their FB page is running fine.

We called Banyan Tree Deli and got a really good vibe...only $1.60 each with an order of 70 cupcakes... and free delivery.  They will serve to order...any color or flavor we want.  If anyone has experience with this company, Id be curious what you thought.

I have called about Costco cupcakes before and i think they are seasonal items, and they do not take orders for them   I will be calling Banyan tree deli myself, thanks for the heads up!
