What did you use to light your bar area, and also the rest of the property?  I've finally figured out a gorgeous tent setup that comes with chandelier lights, but our coordinator has "tiki torches" to light the rest of the property and "lanterns on a string" to light the bar area.  I'm worried it might look...odd / casual, mostly because I can't picture how to make it look nice.

If you have photos of how you lit the bar & non-reception grass area, I would love to see them.   Thanks!

THANK YOU!  From that, it's pretty clear I don't like the hanging lanterns...just not clean enough for our look.  Back to the drawing board

Here's my inspiration...love the moodiness of the blue at night with the ocean.

Hi Tanq,

I felt the same as you! We hired uplights and pin lights from Pacific Isle Rentals.  They weren't very expensive, and we selected what colors we wanted--we were advised against oranges and greens as they make people in pics look bad.  

Check out Mike Sidney's blog to see a pic of the end result...you can kinda see the colors in the background.  There is lighting on-site, but they're just white lights and they aren't sufficient in my opinion.  We also checked the moon phase to double check how much artificial light we would need.
