Things are looking good!! We are getting Mauied!

With a little less then a year and a half to go I have got some major things done this past week! First we have a date!!

September 26th, 2012!!

Next we have a ceremony venue: Olowalu Plantation!!
I hired a photographer this week as well as a coordinator. We will have a group around 20 people and we are on a somewhat tight budget because we are paying for some family members travel expenses. We are hoping to keep all other costs down with DIY projects. Privacy was key for us so spending extra on the venue ended up being a no-brainer ..

We want to have a nice dinner after the ceremony in the west side of Maui so......FI has treated to a 3 night trip this September to try out places, take a look at our venue, have an engagement shoot with our photographer, meet the coordinator, taste some cakes and make a final decision on our dinner spot!!! I love him! We already have our rings/bands so thats another big check off my list.

I must say that hiring a coordinator relieved all my frustrations...it's worth looking into even if you are on a tight budget.

Congrats! You're right - those are huge things to have decided on. It's all little stuff from here on out.

I agree about a WC - I found throughout the process that having one was a major stress reliever.

Nice! I have to recommend Maui wedding cakes. The cake they made for me and my hubby was THE BEST cake I have ever had in my life! I am not kidding. We got the star fish & coral design. I am definately ordering a 1 year anniversary cake from them and will pay whatever I have to, to get it to me the next day.

Having a WC is awesome and totally worth it!!! Congrats on having so much done already and an amazing trip to look forward to scope out stuff! So exciting to get engagement photos done there!!

Thanks everyone...I was being so picky in the begining but realized I needed to somewhat adopt the hawaiian way and just go with it

Don't even get me started on cake!!! I LOVE CAKE!! I will check out your rec , I've heard they make amazinG cakes there. YUMMY!!

I've got my mind set on boarding pass invites...since most of the family hasn't been to a wedding in a while I think they will just eat them up! For the STD's I'm thinking message in a bottle...

And for some weird reason I bought a treasure chest for my sign in table LOL but I loved it...headed to Michaels to get inspired on decor and DIY projects..
